The mug rapidly cools or heats your drink to the temperature you desire and then keeps it that exact temperature for hours on end.
You can set the temperature manually. Or, you can get extra fancy and program your Ember travel mug’s temperature via a bluetooth connection using the Ember app on your smartphone or tablet.
The Ember mug app even let’s change your mug’s name and see a real-time readout of how much liquid is left. It’s represented as a cool wavy line that looks like liquid filling your phone screen.
The app will send you a notification when your drink reaches your desired temperature. And it’ll even send a tap to your Apple Watch (if you’re some kind of crazy early-adopter and late-abandoner who’s still wearing one of those).

According to support materials released by Ember Technologies the smart travel mug will work for two hours on the go under battery power or all-day (and possibly for all eternity) if left on the custom charging coaster.
The company sells extra charging coasters so you can have one for home and one for your office. They’re even available for purchase at Starbucks.

Now for bad news. The Ember mug is awesome but it’s also not exactly cheap.
